Most dental implants are comprised of a titanium screw implanted into the bone, and a post, to which the prosthesis attaches. Implants are a great way to replace missing teeth and can also provide a stable foundation for our Foley patients who need a removable partial or complete dentures.
Dental implants are artificial roots (usually made of titanium) that are surgically placed into the jaw bone by Dr. Northcutt. Crowns attached to implants are very natural looking and enhance or restore a patient’s smile.
Implants are also the best way to stabilize overdentures. They make it possible to have an overdenture without the bulky palate of a traditional denture (sits in the roof of the mouth) that can cause a patient to gag. Implants firmly anchor the dental prosthesis, which means no more suffering from ill-fitting, loose dentures.?
